Can I as a new customer buy via the upgrade page, or is that an "upgrade" meant only for previous owners of logos? I'm asking because all the base packages there seem to be at a 25% discount.
upgrade are for those who own some form of a previous version of Logos or someone owning a lower grade L4 version.
Well here's the thing, all the packages are showing for me. Even thelowest, Home or what's it called. So from what package can you upgradeto home? And also I'm given the option to purchase either a download ordvd.
Ahhhhhhhh.... I emailed customer support yesterday but haven't gotten a response yet.
Ithink that since I haven't bought anything form them, they're justshowing me all the packages at regular price(since my understandingis that that page is also an upgrade calc). What bothers me is that ifI add to cart via the regular page (http://www.logos.com/biblestudy) I can't apply the coupon BIBLE.LOGOS for a discount. It just won't work for some reason. But if I add via the upgrade web page, it applies the discount automatically.
Nicolae,
Let me see if I understand. you don't actually own any Logos product at this moment yet you want to get the upgrade price?
No, I don't own any logos product. As for the discount, I saw it advertised on some web page.
Nicolae...
No...the prices for the upgrade are for existing customers HOWEVER...IF you call Logos....they frequently do all they can to make it as easy on you as possible....
I'm not promising anything but they are really a good bunch of folks...give them a call..
Oh, I don't have a problem paying the full price. I just wasn'taware that the "upgrade" / coupon were only for existing customers. Isaw the coupon advertised in a couple of places, but they didn'tmention who exactly it was for.
Just out of curiosity, how come the website allows me to order the DVD with a 25% discount via the upgrade page, even though it's supposed to be only for old customers?
Don't know the answer to what you're seeing. But you can get a 25% discount on a new package via Adrian Warnock's blog. http://adrianwarnock.com/
I can't answer your question as to why the website seems to give you an upgrade discount, unless it is that Logos is offering 1st time buyers similar discounts because of the introduction of Logos 4 and the website recognizes you don't own and reflects those new buyer discounts to you.
At the end of the blog with the interview of Thomas Black, it says this:
Already a Logos Bible Software user?Visit our custom upgrade discount calculator to see what discounts you qualify for on an upgrade to a brand new Logos 4 base package.
Want to be a Logos Bible Software user?New customers should visit http://www.logos.com/4 to learn more and see what discounts are currently available.
So, there are discounts and while the upgrades are only available if you currently own, they are making some special introductory prices available. I'd call to be sure.
Chris
Thanks for the help guys, I'll probably call them to see what's the deal.
