Book Collections

Does anyone know whether it is possible to prioritise books in a collection created on Logos? Thus if I have a collection called "Commentaries on Romans" can I control the order in which the books are listed in the collection? This would be useful as there are books that I regularly use and in a large collection it would be helpful if they appeared at the top of the list rather than scattered randomly through the collection.

Hi Alan, welcome to the forums!

What you can do is Prioritize the Collection, then Prioritize the individual books that you want to have preferential treatment in that Collection BEFORE the Collection, in the order you prefer. That way, the first thing referenced will be your individual choices, then the books in the rest of the Collection.

Using Advanced Prioritization you can also prioritize one of your favorite resources to a particular book - for example I always want the ESV Study Notes up first when reading ESV, otherwise I don't want it used in my priority list.

Hi Alan - and welcome to the forums.

I don't believe there is anyway to reorder books within a collection, they are arranged in alphabetical order of Title.

You can use Prioritisation - see http://wiki.logos.com/Prioritizing for details - to determine the order these books would appear when running a Passage Guide against this collection. This might go some way towards giving you what you want.
