4.0 Resources and 3.0

This is a follow up question to my previous one (running dual installs).

From the responses...... yes you can have a dual install :-)

So i was wondering will the 4.0 books run when I am using version 3.0?

If so how?

Discover resources ......will they be stored in the same directory as my other 3.0 resources....will 4.0 have its own seperate directory?

They are completely independent systems, with their own resource folders. Do not point v3 at the L4 resource folder; which is always integrated with the software.

Basically, install v3 and populate with v3 resources from its DVD/FTP site or your backup. Install L4 and it will download everything it needs.

All the new resources that Logos 4 is installing for the new collections are in the new format. Libronix cannot read this format, but you do have a license to these new books if you can find a libronix resource file for them. Logos has promised that in a few weeks they will have a script for version 3 that will take care of all of this for you, but for now you can either wait or look for them on any disks you have or the ftp site.

L4 aned L3 will use separate resource folders and it would be unwise to try to force L3 to use the L4 resource folder.
