Hi Robert
This is not currently available on Android phones - it is working on Android tablets.

The future of Android phone OS updates remains to be seen. The new update called "IceCreamSandwhich" will probably be released sometime around the end of the year and is supposed to mix the new tablet OS with the phone OS. Newer phones will probably get an update sometime in the first half of 2012 if they have the system requirements to support it, older phones probably will not. Manufacturers are slow though to update for various reasons and costs because they change the software slightly to put their own unique face on it. Unfortunately the differences between 2.X and 3.X on android are large and so I doubt the devs for logos will be able to get everything working on 2.X that they do on 3.X, I don't work for the company though, so I don't know. I would rather them develop the advanced features for 3.X though because within 6-12 months a lot of the code based on 2.X will be outdated and that would be wasted code. The next phone you buy should be able to to everything that an android tablet does. Because android didn't exist on tablets a year ago, there is a gulf between the two form factors that Google will be working to eliminate over the next year. At least that is the word on the street.

Unfortunately that stinks for those who just got androids that will most likely not see the upgrade. Sorry I am not a techno junkie that has to rush out and get the latest and greatest...of that would make me an applephile...hmmm glad I am not one of those. [:D]

That is my concern having just acquired Android phones (Samsung Galaxy). I understand that my S model cannot be updated beyond 2.3 and I know my wife's Mini model cannot be updated beyond 2.2! My hope is that the application will be backwards compatible (e.g. not using features/functions that are unsupported), but I was disturbed that some users reported the need to upgrade their Android to v2.3 to get basic functionality in Beta 9!
