I do not have (or want Word on my MAC. I have pages, bean, and scrivener. Scrivner and bean can save in the docx format but logos is not recognizing my styles that should turn into table of contents in Logos. Any suggestions?
Another Mac user is using a free wordprocessor call LibreOffice and it works for him. see this post http://community.logos.com/forums/p/36761/275562.aspx#275562
I haven't tried this extenesively, due to a busy few months but in the early days of the PB tests I used textedit which can save into docx, based off word 2007 which compiled successfully, like I said haven't had chance to try it since the bugs have been ironed out a little.
Bean docx format Word 2007 => http://www.bean-osx.com/Word97.html mentions many items are lost using Apple's TextEdit exporter (including advanced paragraph formatting).
Scrivener release notes => http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivChangeList.php opines docx export uses Apple's standard TextEdit exporter (cannot be customized).
Wonder about exporting to doc or RTF, open in LibreOffice => http://www.libreoffice.org/ check document appearance, then save as docx, followed by Logos 4.3 Personal Book compilation.
Keep Smiling [:)]
I downloaded the libreoffice and it works like a charm [;)]
