PBB Table of contents

I am trying to get this file to generate a table of contents using certain words. I want it to be generated around the days. The user is to click Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc.., and jump to that days lesson.

I have given each corresponding day a different header. Sabbath has header 1, Sunday has header 2, etc..

What am I doing wrong?

Steve what if I wanted the days listed int he table of contents rather than the topics. I noticed that you have all of the days at heading 1-6, and the topics at heading 1. What should I change? I am using word 2007.

I haven't played around with this long enough to be sure of what I'm saying, but I don't think you would want to assign different headers to each day (for one thing, I don't think there are that many headers). What you seem to want is more in the area of an index. With an index you can place a reference to each occurance of a particular day under its listing and go to that by clicking on the reference. At the moment I have used only one header to designate different sections of an alpha listing, but I suspect that each change in header would indent a section in the TOC under the main header.

If have a different TOC question and problem....

I have been working with PBB and Microsoft Headings and if I don't do anything else they work wonderfully to create a TOC naturally unlike what John F. showed us in the webinar yesterday....

On the other hand when I do something like add {{Field-On:fieldname}} TEXT {{Field-off:fieldname}} the text in the PBB looks great...the Fieldname is searchable but the TOC show what I typed above or 'disappears'

Any thoughts from anyone what I am doing wrong?

In case you haven't done so, you can always click the "Email me when someone replies" link at the top of any thread. This will send you an email to the account you have set up, and like George has suggested, will prevent spambots from stealing your email address. For the heck of it I just checked my spam filter.....

only 64 'spams' in two months....most were 'ads' filtered out because I choose them to be from things my kids or wife sign up for.... 4 were the 'Viagra' adds that came from someone else not having proper filters but were stuck in my spam filter so I was protected.

Plus the email I use has a 'double filter' on it because of previous spam issues that almost shut the server down the source will filter crap before it ever gets to me...

Nothings perfect but I don't worry about it.

Sorry Bob to get the thread side tracked... Unfortunately I don't know much about the tagging yet. I have begun to create my first book though. By using modified headings (1, 2 & 3), it is working very well for me.

Well I seemed to figure out how to solve one problem only to create another.

By moving the fieldname off of the same line and making it 'normal' text seems to have taken it out of the TOC but the field seaches are working correctly now.

Retype the line with the appropriate Word heading style and fields on the next line in Normal. But what field were you using?
