Use the resources on the "Mac side" for the "Windows side" (VMware Fusion) instead of downloading it

I am using winXP on my MacBook with the help of VMware Fusion, In L3 it was possible to tell the "windows side" to look for the resources at the 'mac side'. Making it possible to use one set of resources.

Now I have installed L4 Mac Apha on my Mac side and have all the new resources downloaded.

But there seems no way to tell the L4 windows installer to look for the resources. It keeps telling me that it wants to download it all again (10 Gb). I do not have the space for it and i don't want to have it twice.

Is it possible to install on my 'windows side" just the L4 engine and when it is done to tell it where to find the resources??

This is described elsewhere better than I can express it but in general - if the resources are on the MAC side use the parallels tools to publish that directory to the windows machine and name that link in your resources link. I cannot find the post that showed me how to do it step by step.

I just got the LOGOS 4 upgrade. On install it does not seem to have any way to change the resource directory, immediately fatal to the scheme I used with LOGOS 3. I want this "feature" to work so I will keep looking.

You can't share L4 resource folders nor can you separate them from the installation folder (though there is an unsupported way within Windows http://community.logos.com/forums/p/3559/27207.aspx#27207 )

You can avoid a download BUT you must have the space - type scan <L4 resource folder> in the Command bar and restart L4.

Luuk, my understanding is Logos 4 for the Mac will eventually (within a few months) be the equivalent of Windows Logos 4 - unlike Logos 3. When that happens, you can let the Windows version go and work totally from the Mac side (at least that is what I'm hoping and planning for!!!).
