Is there a way to searching for text that is highlighted?
Also, in version 3 you saved highlighting to a notes file so you could view different sets of highlighting. Is that possible in version 4?

Highlighting was slated to be one of those missing but coming items. We beta testers raised such a stink, especially that whiny Thomas, that they put something together to tide us over until their vision is fully realized. I don't think we've seen the end of highlighting, but for now these functions, as best as I know, are not available.
Yes, I'd like the feature to jump to the next highlight in a book. It's a vital part of the highlight function.
Note highlighting and markup were separate in v3. You could have markup that was not part of a note.
Notes in v4 have very basic highlight styles (so far), whereas highlighting (without a note) is more varied. Under the visual filter menu in each resource window there is a menu to control what is highlighted in the book. It looks like this (the three circles):
Select Highlighting to switch the basic highlighting on or off.
Select the note file name to switch it's associate highlighting and note icons on or off.
