I'm a new Logos 4 user and I want to know how, or if I can, synchronizemy windows so that I don't have to change each one manually.  Thank you.

    John -

First, welcome to the forums! I don't know what you mean, but I will take a stab. If you mean sync the windows so that the Bibles and/or commentaries move together, what you want is called creating a "Link Set." For each "versified" resource (such as Bible or commentary), click on the book cover (upper left hand corner) and the following menu will appear. Choose a letter, and repeat with another resource. They will now be linked and will scroll together.

    Welcome [:D]

Wiki has => Getting Started with Logos page that includes => Home Page + First Steps section.  The Home Page default layout includes 7 panels linked in a set (A), which may be sluggish to scroll, especially since one panel is Text Comparison that compares verse(s) in Top 5 Bibles.

    Keep Smiling [:)]

I guess I'm a slow learner but I still don't understand.  I did what I thought you said but it still didn't work.  Maybe I'm missing a step????  Thanks for your help.

    John,

What you need to do is link your resources. To do this:

    • Click the resource book icon at the top left
    • From the drop-down icon, look for Link Set
    • Decide which set you will use. You can have different resources with separate links, but for now just set everything to Link Set A
    • When the resource belongs to a link set, you will see the letter for that link set superimposed on the resource book cover icon (see screenshot below)
    • Scroll and enjoy!

When resources belong to the same link set, scrolling any resource should automatically update the position of the others. This way, as you read a Bible, for instance, all your opened, linked commentaries will automatically scroll to keep up (if they have a commentary entry for that passage!).

You can link other tools as well, such as the text comparison window. But the more you link, the more it might slow down scrolling.
