Question regarding moving L4 to another computer

If I follow the transfer procedure in the Wiki (copy the L4 into library on new machine) Does it have to reindex or does it use the index I have now?

Depends on the method you use. http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers

Methods 1 & 2 avoid indexing, it's copied from the source computer.

looking @ http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_Multiple_Macs#Duplicate_Logos_4_Mac_Installation , this method will save indexing, the one above it will not.

Wiki includes note: "has worked for some, but failed for others" summarizing some Logos 4 Mac thread results trying to Duplicate Logos 4 Mac Installation

Observation: Mac OS X file system uses numeric id for user and group.  Speculating failure possible if username or user id # different between computers.  Fully qualified file path includes username while file permissions use numeric id.
