I was prompted to do a software update. I clicked ok, then closed the updater icon afterwards. then tried to reopen logos and it won't open

FIrst, welcome to the forums! Sorry you are having troubles. I don't know how to read logs, so I will let someone else attempt that. Were you updating to 4.3 from 4.2? What OS are you running?
I am running 10.6.8 I just installed it a few days ago and this was the first update I am aware of. I uninstalled it as shown in the forums and reinstalled it. Now it is stuck signing in....
OK, tried installing it from the CD several times and would not allow me to sign in. I downloaded it again from the website and it seems to be working now, though I haven't done the update yet!

If you have downloaded from the web site then you probably have installed the latest version.
Have a look at 'About...' under the 'Logos Bible...' drop down.
My version is
Logos Bible Software 4.3 (4.30.0.1517)
mine is Logos Bible Software 4.3 SR-2 (4.30.0.1572)
