Shake to FSD.
Ummm. What does that mean?
(I don't have an iOS device, but I tried to understand and I can't. I even used the Internet)

I am also not sure what you mean here. A standard mapping of shaking an iDevice would be to clear any currently-active text fields. Is that what you are indicating?
Thanks,

Sorry about that. FSD. Facilitate serindipitus discovery. Randomly select something from your library.

I like the idea, if open to the library.

Type FSD in the Logos Command box. The first item in the drop down menu will be "Facilitate Serindipiteous Discovery." Selecting that option will open up a random resource to a random article. Its for those times when you really don't know what you want to read. Today I had a similar moment with my IPod and thought it would be cool if I could just shake my Ipod and have it pull up something random. If shaking isn't used for anything elsein Logos, why not :-)

I like it. Kind of like you dropped all your books on the floor and you start reading from where the one on the top of the pile opened up.

I agree. I HATE the shake feature on my iPod. While I run, inevitably it changes what I am listening to. I am not opposed to the idea, as long as it can be turned off.

HeHe....Honestly, I used the shake feature for one day before it bugged me. I would shake it hard, nothing would happen. Then I would start walking and it would change things. Would I use Shake to FSD? probably not. But the two just go so well together...I couldn't resist the suggestion.

And shaking a 1.5 lb iPad is quite a hassle.

The hassle would be if you inadvertently shake it. Great idea so long as there is a confirm action like OK button.

Buy a 1.33lb iPad 2 and it will be slightly less of a hassle. [:D]

No you better wait for the rumorred iPad 3 which should be even thinner. 1.2 pounds is more shakable.

Even better, make use of the shake-to-undo feature on your Macbook!

Shake to FSD.
I actually had that working in the 1.0 betas, but removed it because it was too easy to trigger accidentally.

What if it had a specific shake sequence? For instance, what if you had to do the Cha-Cha to FSD?
On second thought, never mind the Cha-Cha is something I would do only if I were on something called FSD.
