Index every time I open prog. and/or start Mac

Recently when I go to start the Logos 4 program or when I go to start my computer Logos starts to index and bogs down my computer. It has become at times unfunctional to use if I just want to look at a quick passage. Is it supposed to index so frequently? Is it supposed to cause my computer to run slow for 2-5 minutes everytime I need to open the program?

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Dan

    The short answer is no.

    However that does not help matters. Are you using the latest version of the L4? Mine is L4.3 and has service release 2. If not then an upgrade is in order.

    Perhaps you might benefit from doing a 'Rebuild Index' just before going to bed one night. This might sort out the glitch.

    Otherwise it is a case of either posting your logs (see the Wiki - How to report Bugs) or contacting Customer Support.

    Wondering about Mac hardware specs ? (e.g. model with CPU, RAM, and disk speed)

    Logos 4 is resource intensive on Mac & PC – benefits from fast processor, graphics, and disk along with adequate memory (i.e. newer hardware since Logos 4 being designed for use over 5 to 8 years).
