I downloaded my upgrade on Monday afternoon, and because of several problems, my system finished indexing Wednesday evening about 6:30 PM.
There was great joy.
Today (Thursday), some updates were installed. In the late morning, it indexed some files, but took only a couple minutes. Later in the afternoon, the system must have gotten some more updates, and the indexing began again. I saw about 11 hours of indexing predicted. I hibernated the machine, because I needed to bring it home from the office, but started it right up again. Now (4 hours later), the blue icon in the taskbar tells me that it still has 20 hours 2 minutes remaining.
Will that be a common occurrence after downloading some automatic updates? Is it an indication that the "index" files somehow got corrupted.
I would appreciate knowing what is going on.
