What if I built a book and want to update it? Will notes, etc. be kept, like the native books?

And how to update?

Thanks.

Re-compile the book and it will be updated.

I am not exactly sure how this works, but I think it depends upon how much changes. In the second screen shot, you will notice that the highlights have disappeared. I think that this is because I added an entire clause with punctuation, but this is speculation.

    Peace to all!                   *smile*

I added a simple "note" to one of my PB's.

Then I changed the Source File!

                  I recompiled ......

My note was still there!                        *smile*

I rejoice that I did not lose the note!  The editing of the text was successful!

Then I highlighted some text with orange and recompiled!

                   Lo!  And!  Behold!

The orange highlight -- as well as my note -- showed up in my recompiled PB

    *smile*

Now, to go back once more and remove my comment about the orange ......
