Search yields different results (not a bug as I had thought - oops)

On this thread we have different people running the same request on a single resource and getting different counts. This doesn't build confidence in simple search results since the search is for the word Euphrates in AYBD

    I can't search for the reason myself, lacking the AYBD resource, but prior to calling a bug, I'd ask the posters whether they really use

    • the same resource (maybe there are editions to AYBD, at least in the one screenshot it spells its full name, in the other it it abbreviated to the acronym) 
    • the same search parameters ("match all word forms" has been the culprit of such differences in the past)

    if this doesn't help, it could still be resource corruption, that one poster hasn' loaded or indexed a resource update ....

    After all of this can be ruled out, I'd call it a possible bug. But that's just me....

    I just checked and I was able to duplicate the various number of search hits by toggling and untoggling the "Match all word forms"

                I went from 433 to 438 by matching all word forms.     Actually, I would have thought that the number would go down because matching all word forms seems to be more precise; however, my number went up. 

                                                        ?????            I don't really need to know why  ............     but, ............   I wouldn't mind...        *smile*
