I appreciate the mix of straight commentary with a little devotional on the side. Is anybody aware of other resources like this or what to recommend one?
I did a search http://www.logos.com/products/search?q=devotional+commentary&start=0&sort=rel&pageSize=60 which produced some results not all of which seem to be the same style.
Thanks for your help
I've found some of the older commentators to be a bit more "devotional" in their commenting. Matthew Henry comes immediately to mind - thought I have also found Warren Wiersbe to be similar in style - although not quite as verbose as Mr. Henry.
I've certainly referenced Wiersbe for lesson prep but i like the way 365 separates out the two. Just like my meals I like having my main course first and then dessert afterwards.
To clarify, I'm using for personal devotions
This one might be what you are looking for. I seem to remember that It came with, or I bought separately, a version of this in Word which would mean a quick trip to make it Logos ready.

My dear brother! Have you never discovered the joy of eating dessert BEFORE the main course? Ernestine Ulmer (American Author) said, "Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first."
