Qn re:Prioritization of Bibles

G'day guys,

I was just wondering if after prioritizing 4 bibles (eg. NKJV,ESV, NET, NIV) if for the 5th choice you could choose say KJV for the OT and ISV for the NT?

You can choose any bible you wish and prioritize as many as you want. If you always want ISV to be available for a NT passage then put it in your top 5 with KJV at #6. If you look at an OT passage KJV will be used and be listed 5th.

Right now (since the ISV is NT only) make it your 5th prioritized Bible & the KJV your 6th. This will accomplish what you asked. I believe that there is advanced prioritization which can do this as well, but I have not done it before. I think Mark Barnes has a video on this HERE.

Thank you Dave...I was trying to do this through setting limits in the advanced prioritization...without success...but I didn't need to.

However, this works if I look up a verse in the passage guide...but what about if you do a search (eg. grace)...in the "grid" view, I was hoping to get my 5th column to show KJV for the OT and ISV for the NT. Is that possible?

NO, each bible has its own column.

So don't use Top Bibles as that only looks at the Top 5 bibles. Define a collection that includes your top 6 or 7 bibles.

My Top 5 "Bibles" includes United Bible Societies (UBS) Handbooks, similar to blog article => http://blog.logos.com/2011/08/logos-4-quickly-access-the-ubs-handbooks/ so right click in a Bible, can click reference, then open Bible or Commentary. Once Bible (or Commentary) open, can click "+" to open another tab, which shows more Bibles (or Commentaries) that have verse reference in prioritized order. My Library prioritization includes more than 5 Bibles and Commentaries.
