day 5 and still 6 plus hours to go on first indexing on my PC, even with tranferring files from the first install on my laptop.

VERY DISAPPIONTING to say the least.

Its just getting better, yeah I know before one of our "oh I'm sorry you have had a bad experience..." brethern chime in, please don't.

I cannot comment because I've never had any of my downloading or indexing go beyond about 6 or 8 hours at the very worst....

It looks like your situation is a bit unusual....

I KNOW that 6 days is not the norm....

I'm confused on your experience...you say it's been indexing for 5 days straight? Or has it stopped and restarted?

How many resources do you have and what kind of PC do you have? My 5 yr old Thinkpad with a 2GHz Pentium M and a 7200 rpm drive takes from 6 to 8 hours to do a full index of 1800 resources.

Did you try the method for installing on multiple computers described on this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/3629/27895.aspx?

Everyone seems to have had success with it. I haven't tried yet because I'm still merging indexes on my netbook. But intend to do a complete reinstall on my notebook using this method when that process has finished. Apparently it only takes 1/2 hr.
