Best Setup for Logos 3?

Hello, i am wondering what is the best Setup for Logos 3. i can remember way back then when it came out, it used IE6 and XP. When Vista came out, that was a problem. When IE 7 came out, that was a problem. When .NET 4 came out, that was a problem. Of course there were patches, but i am wondering if XP with IE6 might still be the best setup? Or does it run with less errors in Win7? IE7?

i am asking because i am setting up a machine just for L3 (and one for L4). It will usually not onext to the Internet, so there are no security concerns (with IE6). the recent problems with IE9 did it for me (it is still not really working (hanging all the time)). i am convinced that such problems will keep coming, and so i will set up a static machine.

Any ideas?

In our music room, we have L3 running on an older but clean XP with IE6. Nice and smooth; no problems (and no internet).

Upstairs we have L3 running on W7 with  IE8 (the latter we never use). But also runs nice and smooth.

Personally for the long term, if I was going to park a machine, I'd do it with W7 prior to IE9.  W7 is surprisingly solid.

Win 7 with IE8 and Logos 3.0g is solid.
