Ramsay resource did not download - any ideas?

Hi All

I have an unusual problem in that one of the recently released Ramsay resources did not download on my desktop.

The whole collection of 16 resources downloaded on my laptop but only 15 on the desktop. The missing one on the desktop is Studies in the History and Art of the Eastern Provinces of the Roman Empire .

I have started Logos several times, rebooted my computer, tried to 'update resources' and even downloaded the L3 script for that resource and synced the licenses all to no avail.

Is there anything else I can try?

It should not be necessary of course, but copy the laptop Resources folder** to an external drive (E:\), then type this text into the Command Box of the other computer:-

scan E:\Resources

and restart L4.

** \Logos4\Data\<user id.>\ResourceManager\Resources

I think a good suggestion for improving Logos would be similar to my synthesizer software, which has literal wires you can move around to get different sounds.

In Logos, you would take its wire (maybe with a little plastic hand on the end) and then POINT to the problem. 'Logos ... your missing file is HERE! Now get it.'

I'd hate to think Sue might have a large library.

Ramsay has still not appeared on the desktop this morning. (I thought there was still a chance it may download spontaneously). So.....

Just one further question before I copy and scan the laptop folder as Dave suggested.

From the time I installed L4 on the laptop (a month or so ago) I have consistently had a resource count of 3 less than on the desktop (now 2 because of the extra Ramsay volume on the laptop). It will be time consuming to go through all my resources to find out which one are missing so I had that as a future project to follow up one day. As Denise suggested I do have a library of significant size that I have collected over time (but certainly not 'large' in comparison to many others). Large enough however, to make identifying the missing resources quite a daunting task.

In short the situation is that I have 3 additional but unidentified resources on the desktop that are not on the laptop and a Ramsay volume that is on the Laptop but not on the desktop.

If I scan the laptop resource folder as suggested would I overwrite and lose the additional resources that I have on the desktop?

Just out of interest does anyone else have inconsistent resource counts between laptop and desktop?

No. But restart each L4 before you start:-.

1. copy and scan the laptop resources as described above

2. reverse the process and copy & scan the desktop resources.
