Has anyone ever lost connection with the Logos program? I have lost my Icon and software from my hard drive.
I've never heard of this happening before.
Are you logged in to the same Windows user account in which you installed Logos4? (required)
Does anyone else have access to your computer who may have uninstalled it?
Has this happened with any other software?
Which operating system are you using?
There is more that we can do and suggest, but without knowing the answers to the questions above, at best we can only guess blindly.
I haven't changed anything but I can check to see if anyone that has used it made any changes. Only a couple of people have used my computer. I am generally the only user. I am using Windows 7 and it has never happened to any of my other softward.
You didn't answer the question about whether you are trying to access Logos from the same Windows User Account from which you installed it. If you have more than one Windows user account on your computer, this is essential information.
Okay, let's try this first.
Hit the Windows key on your keyboard (lower left, between Ctrl and Alt - on my laptop there's also a "Fn" key there), or hit the Windows circle at the bottom left of your Windows task bar. Either action opens the Windows "Start" menu. Near the bottom is a black triangle and the words "All Programs" click that (or just hover for a few seconds), and you should see all your installed programs. See if Logos is in the list of programs at the top of the menu.
If it is, it's still there and we can put the icon back on your desktop. Just right click on the program name in the list, select copy, switch back to your desktop and press CTRL-V.
If it's not there, we can try a few other things to find out if L4 is still on your computer, but please answer the question I referred you to above first, as the next step requires knowing the answer to that question.
I thought that I did answer that question but as far as I know, I only have one user account. How would I check it. I had already checked my installed programs and it is not listed there.
Hi Cynthia,
Is this a work computer? I ask this, since some offices have tech people who will remove personal programs from the business computers. This might be the case.
I would suggest going to your computer's control panel and selecting the "add or remove software" selection. It should populate with all of your existing programs on your computer. Look to see if Logos is still installed on your computer. If it is not there, then someone has removed it and it would have been someone with access to your computer. If it is a work computer, and not specifically owned by you personally, I would check to be sure you are authorized to put personal software on it.
Bless the Lord! That was it and I chose to repair and Logos was repaired! I don't know what happened but I bless God for you for helping me! May God truly bless you! I thank you so much for all of your help.
I forgot to add that this is my personal computer (laptop).
Glad you got it working.
