Sync my library on my iPad

I am new to this, so I appreciate your patience.

I bought the bible study package and now have all the resources downloaded on my PC.  Is there a way to sync my library to my iPad, in a way that I may search my library offline?  Since I live in a country where internet speed is SLOW.  It took my 33 hours (over 3 days between 11 pm till 7 am) to download my library.

Any help in this regard is most appreciative

Hi Sami - and welcome to the forums

You can download resources to your iPad using the Logos iPad app.

To do this, when you are connected to the Internet, open the library in the app, choose the resource you want to download and click the blue arrow to the right of the screen. Then move the "Available Offline" slide to "On".

Repeat this for all of the resources you are interested in and the resources will download.

In terms of offline searching, you can do Basic Searches and Bible Searches offline (you get a fuller search capability when online), probably best to try and that see how you get on.

You might find it worth experimenting with both online and offline searches - the online search is more functional and might end up being as quick overall.

    Hope this helps

Please come back with any further questions

    Welcome [:D]

Apologies: Logos currently does not have a way to sync resources between PC and iPad.

On iPad have to choose each resource to download for offline use (can be a subset of Library on PC).

I have been downloaded library selections for off line reading to my iPad2; however, some of the items that I have purchased for my library do not show up; specifically William Barclay's Commentary series. Please tell me how to download Barclays from my library to my iPad for off line reading. Thanks.

Hi Rod - and welcome to the forums

Do you mean the New Daily Study Bible - http://www.logos.com/product/6752/the-new-daily-study-bible-new-testament - or are you referring to some other series?

I want to make you aware that not all resources are mobile enabled. Most of the time this is due to publishers not granting permission for our licenses to be used in this manner. It is Logos' view that you purchase a license once and can use the resources anywhere. Unfortunately not all publishers/authors agree.

I do not know about the Barclay series that you speak of, unless you mean the ones that Graham referred to. Those commentaries do appear to be mobile enabled. If these are the ones you speak of, let us know and we can try to get clarification from Logos. Sometimes they just have to "flip a switch."

On my Mac I have the "Daily Study Bible Series: Letters to the Romans" "Letters to the Corinthians", etc. for the entire New Testament by William Barclay. I purchased them and added them to my Logos Library. Does that better clarify for you?

Unfortunately, no. Did you follow the link that Graham provided and I am providing HERE? The product listed is the "New Daily Study Bible: New Testament." The publication date is 2001, and there are 17 volumes. If these are the resources you are referring to, then they SHOULD be available on mobile devices. I cannot find on the Logos website: "Daily Study Bible Series" It is possible that this is an old resource which is no longer sold. Either way, let us know and we can try to catch someone's attention to get a definitive answer for you.

Hi Mike - and welcome to the forums

Sorry to hear you are having problems.

Have you checked you are using the same username / passage on your iPad as used when you purchased the Platinum version?

If that doesn't resolve it, please start a new thread in the current mobile app forum -  https://community.logos.com/forums/156.aspx - including screenshots of what you see when you open your Library in the iPad app
