Troubleshoot Logos 4 Install On Windows XP-Password Frame Causes Crash

Immediately Upon Entering the First Letter into the Logos 4 Password Area:

The keyboard becomes non-responsive

Windows Task Master shows Logos 4 Not Responding and the CPU usage shoots up to 51%

Any idea what might be causing this issue?  I cannot log in to Logos 4 because of this.  The issue becomes apparent when I put the first letter into the password feature.
