I tried to
dock a window after floating it. It was
docked in a different panel instead of the panel from which it was floated.

Is there a
way to lock the resources so they always are returned to the proper panel?

Are there
control functions to initiate floating and docking?

But, what is "the proper panel"? How does the program determine this if you have gone from a 1-pane layout to a 6-pane layout?

If the layout of all the resources is saved in a layout. I would think the "address" should be known by the program so t is replaced when docked to the original address.

I've got no doubt that this is possible but it would take a fair bit more processing: the program would have to record the initial position of each pane as it is floated; upon seeking to dock i would have to determine whether the pane came from a saved layout; it would then have to determine whether the layout was still in the same state as when the pane was undocked; then return to that pane.

It's all feasible, but I'm not sure if it's worth the effort (imho). It currently uses the same algorithm as it would use if you opened that resource from the library into your current layout.

OK let me address it from a different angle. In version 3 I have 4 panels with up to 15 resources per panel. I go to a resources, find the area of interest then maximize it. When finished I use the pseudo minimize icon ( not sure of the actual term) which doesn't totally minimize, but puts it back into the original panel as it was before maximizing. The programing is already there. The functionality of the icons just hast to be added to the panels, maybe right beside the visual filters icon.

When I "undock" or float a window or group of tabs (Ex. 5 tabbed commentaries) for an enlarged reading view, I'd like to be able to RE-Dock that entire group of tabs. I don't think this is poss. currently is it? (I can't seem to do it)
