Limited install \ Resource download selector

With the limited storage size of Tablets/Netbooks it would be great to be able to select resources I am currently using and not install the rest. As it is now I cannot use my most valuable software (Logos) with my most used equipment (32 Gig tablet).

most modern netbooks have >160gb of storage, so its not really an issue, I have platinum, installed on mine, and loads of room to spare

what tablet are you looking at?, most android tablets will support a 32gb card which is enough for even portfolio... think apple do a 32/64gb ipad

Erich, tablets and netbooks are two different animals with Logos. One is treated as a mobile device (tablet) while the other one is not (netbook). The tablet does not download any of your library leaving the initial installation under 30MB I believe. Then You can choose to make any or all of your resources available offline by downloading them to the tablet. I would recommend purchasing a tablet with 32 GB or the expandable capability to reach this level of memory or better. Hope it helps.

[EDIT] I think we've got different definitions for our terms 'tablet' and 'netbook'. A tablet = iPad / Vizio VTab / Motorola Xoom / Samsung Galaxy Tab / etc...

a netbook = Acer Aspire / HP Mini 210 / Asus EE PC 1215 / Toshiba NB305 / etc...

This is more about resource management then just being able to, free space is at a premium.

I will try to reinstall again maybe I just had an old installer that wanted to install everything. This would be exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you for your help.

You bring up an intriguing question, especially with the release of the 1,114 vol. Free Perseus collection. You may just be on the intellectual starting line of one of Logos' next big software adjustments. Off the top of my head, I don't see how your suggestion could be a bad/impossible thing to provide. Then again I'm not a Logos developer! [;)]

I assume the feature you are asking about is "offline" mode. The first thing you need to understand is that the mobile app (i.e. iPad or Android) is NOT "Logos 4." There are some search capabilities, but it is nowhere as powerful. It is primarily a book reader. Very few resources are automatically installed on the app and it takes up little room on your device. It is intended to be "in the cloud" (i.e. online). On the desktop app (i.e. "Logos 4"), all resources are downloaded and indexed. Without the resources being downloaded and indexed, your computer would not be able to find the resources when they are needed.

What device are you trying to install Logos on? What are the specs?
