After i start the midi playing for music how do i get the midi to stop playing?
At the top right of the Logos window you should see some midi controls. See here for a screenshot.
There are no media controls in this tab.
In the Passage guide, i selected some music under Media Resources and the tab below opened.
Next i pressed the Midi link under I Sing the Mighty Power of God. The music starts playing. Right clicking on Midi shows on the standard Copy..etc. Clicking on Midi again only restarts the music.
As you see below there are no midi controls as shown on your image.
It keeps playing until i close the Tab.
I have clicked or right clicked on everything in the tab and found nothing to Pause or Stop the music.

The control is not on the tab. It is on top right of the main Logos window, next to the Layout menu.

But this isn't obvious, i had the tab opened in a floating window in full screen, thus the main L4 window was not visible. It would have been nice if they had put the controls in the Tab itself. But understand that it may be difficult from a programmers point of view to do this.

I agree, that would be confusing from a floating window.

In general, that's our goal -- to put the controls right near the action. In the case of audio, though, there's a single resource -- your speakers -- and multiple things in the app that can send something there. (Read aloud, MIDI hymns, etc.) So we wanted to share the UI as well as have a single place to tell you the status of sound, to pause and restart it, etc.
Thanks for the tip. I, too, had the Logos hymnal in a floating window and couldn't see the control, but I can now. [:)]
[I] A suggestion, though: perhaps a search-able item regarding midi could be put in the help file. When I searched for "midi" there were no hits.
