A 'FEASABLE' Read Along?

Greetings,

What about, When the 'Hebrew Audio Add-in' is Published, having the ability to have it (just the way it is, nothing extra necessary) read the 'In-line' transliteration words under your English text (the already made 'Greek' add-in for the NT of Course , with the text lighting up with the 'Highlighter' of your choice? I know a lot of people have asked for a 'Read Out Loud' feature, and since this would be to taxing, and time consuming for Logos to do at this point, I thought maybe they could use that which is already created... Just link them, and push Play!

This would be biblical Greek and Hebrew of sorts but it's a start.

Let me know what you think?

***If this got hot they could make an English add-in later (this couldn't be as hard as it has been for the 'Hebrew' add-in considering we already speak this language

Ideally the transliteration should read the same as the original -- so why not simply read the original?

This kind of goes back to the other post on Native Transliterations. The lexicons transliteration and the Native ones tend to differ. This one wouldn't require them to make any more than they already have unless they wanted to make a more Native audio add-in to go along with the Native transliteration feature idea. This way the people that desired a read along would at least have something, and it would really cost Logos...nothing. I think.

The native transliteration of Jn 1.1 is

Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν, καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.

Anything else isn't a "native" transliteration.

No, I think you are speaking of a transliteration, but no transliteration is "native."

'Main street Hebrew is more like the 'Pictograms' or word pictures of their language. When they read our bible (even if we know Hebrew) they understand more instantly than would take us hours to find out using our commentaries and lexicons.I pray continually that the Lord would raise up more Yeshua loving Jews to show us what we are looking at :0)

So, are English words "pictograms" to you ? I think you have a strange understanding of the nature of Hebrew -- or, perhaps, any language.
