Downloading stopped

I ran the installer, and after logging in the big download started. It got to about 9% and just stopped. The Windows Task Manager shows that there is no activity on the network, but that the Logos4Indexer process is using up 2-3% CPU. Should I be concerned?

Well, I rebooted, and when I ran again, it again popped up the downloading window, this time with a much smaller download size. It still wasn't actually downloading anything though. So, I right clicked the logos icon and told it to stop downloading. This seemed to do nothing, so I decided to just ignore the problem for a while. A bit later, it suddenly started indexing.

So, perhaps at this point things are working properly, although it's possible that I didn't actually get everything downloaded. However, I'm assuming that once I am actually able to run the program, I should be able to find some way to refresh and ensure that everything gets downloaded.

Once you've got everything done - Indexing that is - you can do a couple of things in the command bar

update now then click on the arrow and wait up to 30 minutes

update resources then click on the arrow and wait up to 30 minutes

update now checks the program and resources

update resources checks the resources - i.e., sees what is on your computer versus what you licenses on the server say and then checks every resource version to ensure it is the latest.

Well, it finished indexing, so I started it up and put in update now. I'm back to the same situation as before. It's sitting at 0% of 8.7 GB with no network activity at all.

Your problem is out of my league. I've seen a number of problems. Hopefully one of the Logos people will find this post and help you.

It would probably be wise to make a copy of your logs - in Vista: My Docs\logos4. You might have to get everything to stop and log back into Logos4 holding the Crtl key down until you get the "log in" screen and, I believe, you can turn on logging there - I've also seen posts with a script to turn it on - you'll have to search for it in these forums - sorry I have to go now or I'd try to find it.

I left it alone a while, and it looks like I just needed to be patient. It finally started working, and the download has started moving along. I'll just need to check in tomorrow to see if everything finished. Thanks for your attention Chris. I really appreciate it.
