I must admit that this app is beyond me. All i seem to get is the library and history. There are no menus to move with.
How do I move forward...to a word search or to bible passage?
How do you navigate through a book without thumbing page by page?

In general, press the menu key to see what is available.
What version of the app did you download and from where?
What is your phone and version of Android?

Long press a word for Word Study (no search as yet).
For a bible passage press the menu key and type a passage in the box at the top or press the "bars" icon to the right for a verse picker.
You can swipe horizontally to turn pages or tap near the vertical sides.

Thanks for responding Dave...
I finally just uninstalled and then reinstalled the app and got a dramatically different set up with complete menus.
All is well with Logos now.

I had this problem too for a long time, until I realized I was still using Beta 1, and it apparently doesn't automatically update to new betas. I can't remember how I updated to the latest (couldn't find it in the app store, so I had to go directly to the web link mentioned in the most recent release announcement on this forum, I think). Anyway, it made a HUGE difference. Finally I can use the app and now I know what everyone else is talking about when they mention features that didn't seem to be present for me! Whoo-hooo!!!
