Can I set Logos to open a passage guide only, without also opening the bible, commentary, info and comparison? I have deleated all my custom guides so I don't think they are the source of the other resource panes.

If you open a Passage Guide from a verse(s) within a Bible then it is only the PG which is opened.
If you run a PG by entering a reference into the "Go" Box on the home page then you get all the other panels as well.

That's why many of us don't open with the home page...
In addition to the ways Graham mentioned, you can also get straight PG from the tools menu... but of course you can't get the menus from the home page... [;)]
