Strange character width after upgrade to version 1.80 for iOS
After upgrading to v 1.8.0 for my iPad, the width between each character of my bible (in Traditional Chines) goes strange.
The width between characters would become very crushed (narrow) when a new chapter comes up. I need to use the font size icon and fiddle around, then the width between each character will normalise. But whenever, a new chapter is reached, then the width of character of that paragraph will be back to square one. (see attached illustration)

I haven't experienced anything like this my various English translations. Does it happen to you in any other translations, or just the one? Have you tried doing a "hard" shut down or reinstalling the app?
(In case you would like to know: the typographical term for the spacing between individual characters is "kerning." The relative space between all the characters is called "tracking.")

Yes, this is very strange. This only happens to my only book using Traditional Chinese language, not with Greek or Hebrew or other English language books.
I have tried to hard reset the iPad. No help.
But before I uninstall and install Logos again, would I lose all my downloaded books (for offline reading) and need to install them all over again (it takes hours)?

Try on Vyrso, situation is exactly the same.
I tried this on iPhone.
I have tried to uninstall Logos from my iPhone (less downloaded books) and then hard reset the iPhone then reinstall logos. Situation is exactly the same. Actually, it is even worse (see first picture), some character is actually overlapping with another. The second picture is the normal one.
Any clue as what is going on?

We changed the way we measure text in 1.8.0. The new way doesn't handle non-Latin scripts as well, unfortunately, but it doesn't randomly crash either. We are working on a new way of handling text for the next major version that will handle non-Latin scripts better and be stable.

Thanks Dave, looking forward to the next major release.
May God bless your work.
