Problem with Favorites and Bookmarks

I often use a layout where my Bible is in a pane on the left, and another instance of the same bible is open in a pane on the right. The right-hand bible pane is set as "send hyperlinks here." That way as I read on the left, when I click on references they show up on the right pane, leaving the left where I am reading.
I also make generous use of the favorites and bookmarks tool. The problem is, when I open this layout, and click on a bookmark or favorite, it opens on the right where I wanted to view cross references, instead of opening on the left where I read. This renders bookmarks/favorites completely useless, as I have to manually navigate my reading Bible on the left to where I wanted to go.
Anyone know a way around this?

Hi Thomas,
Yes, use Drag and Drop to grab your Favorite link and drop it into the pane that you want them in. This works in most other places too (e.g. Right Click menu, Tools menu, etc)
A. With your mouse left click on your Favorite link (keep the left button down) and while keeping the left button down move your mouse over the area where you want your book opened to. If you haven't used drag & drop, it may take a little practice. Also if you drag it up to a tab, it allows you to place your book in between specific tabs.

Thanks for this reply.
I tried and it only worked in a limited way. When I open my layout, I have the bible open on the left hand pane. If I drag my bookmark to that open Bible, instead of navigating the open Bible to the bookmark, it opens another copy of the same Bible in another tab -- now I have two tabs open for reading with the same Bible. If I later drag another bookmark to that open Bible, same thing, I now have three instances of the same Bible open.
Am I doing something wrong?

No. Stephen I think assumed you were more interested in opening other books than in opening a bookmarked location in a book (Bible) you already have opened.
You've run into a program limitation. Clicking on a bookmark will do one of two things:
1. Open a closed resource to the bookmarked location.
2. Advance an already open resource to the specified location.
If you have chosen a bookmarked resource to be the target of hyperlinks (Send hyperlinks here) then clicking on a bookmark from that resource will send action #2 above to that open targeted resource. There is no way to modify this behavior. Dragging from Bookmarks and Favorites will open a new copy of the resource as you have found, but does allow you control over where they are opened, which was part of what you were concerned about. It doesn't solve your problem. If there was another setting to Send Bookmarks Here then you could do what you want. Sorry.
