Loading on a new computer

My old laptop is having "issues" so I am attempting to load my Logos 4 on my wife's until I can get the "issues" resolved (thinking really big hammer). I found a couple of helpful links, one being the article Installing Logos 4 (the other has a link that takes me to this page) which has a link Logos4Setup.exe. Every time I try to run it, I get an error message that it is unable to download a required file. I even shut off my firewall, to no avail.

Any suggestions? I know I can email logos but it would late tomorrow before I get a reply and I have been without Logos for several days (can anyone say withdrawal?).

If use hammer, please be careful of flying pieces (no need for human injury).

Every time I try to run it, I get an error message that it is unable to download a required file.

Wonder if anti-virus program is preventing download ? Curious about Windows version ?

Also wonder if trying to install as administrator ? (Logos 4 needs user account)

Don't know about how bad the issues are i.e. whether you can still boot your old laptop and transfer files. If so, the Logos resource and index files might save some time, as explained here http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers .

You also may find the L4 installer files (which is what the setup exe is trying to download, I assume) in C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Local\Logos4\Install\Installers - it might be worth giving them a try
