BUG: Images in Vryso books unreadable in Logos 4

In certain Vryso books with images, the pictures are far too small to even read (on my hi-res 22 inch screen) in Logos 4. The images are unable to re-sized.

For Example: Learn The Bible In 24 Hours: Hour 17:Acts, the map (and especially the caption) is unreadable.

Any ideas? Can Logos rescan and complie the books again?

I may be wrong but I believe that Logos receives the book from the publisher in electronic format. I would expect the graphics to be approximately the same size as they are in the paper copy if you have set your reading pane to the matching page size.

I've had this same problem in the L4 Android app...graphics are too small to be read, and can't be resized.

I also believe that is the case MJ and alabama - thanks for your confirmation.

However, that makes the images unusable and still doesn't explain why Logos 4 won't let you enlarge them. (I can take a screen shot and enlarge it with any number of paint packages - albeit with a corresponding loss of quality).

Thinking about it. I can enlarge certain other images within Logos 4, so I presume its to do with the original format/dimensions.

Potential solutions to this bug:

1. Ideally, if would be good if Logos asked the publishers to provide their original size images (i.e. not their scanned or printed size but the original artwork prepared for publishing purposes) which each of the platforms (iphone, android and Logos 4) would resize display appropriately for the platform.

2. Provide zoom functionality within Logos 4

3. Otherwise books with images (which I realise are not that many) should be published as 'proper' Logos resources and just use the Vyrso format for 'word only' books.

Hoping Logos will consider and can find a way to sort this.

I have a different solution, (although it may not be of much benefit in a case like this when the publisher sends small pictures.) I think that Logos should have a website which resources can link to, for high res images. This would eliminate the need to download massive image files.

One of the key distinctions between Vyrso ebooks and Logos Editions is that Vyrso titles are publisher-created, and designed for e-readers and mobile devices.

Logos doesn't hand-edit these books and we don't even have a paper copy; there's no way for us to manually tweak these titles.

If a book is very popular, or a key Bible reference work, I hope (and you can suggest to suggest@logos.com) that we'll get a license to do a Logos Edition, which can be produced and tagged to the much higher Logos Edition standards. If so, I expect that we'll be able to honor the license you've already bought and automatically update you to the Logos Edition if/when it's available.

In the past we only did books we could do "all the way." But there are now so many titles we couldn't afford to give that attention to, and so many Logos users who wanted "just this one book by Joe Author!" for use with Logos, that we felt creating Vyrso as a way to at least get all this content into our platform.
