I'm not getting anything from the reports on the Mac. Sometimes it crashes whenI try to do a passage guide report. Either that or I don't receive any information
Did you let it run the indexing yet? I know that some people are having success with their PG searches, but not all are and those that are have reported it functioning when indexing is complete.
I did do an indexing of the program last night it was on all night. However I downloaded a file from the forum and placed it in the appropriate folder. It is indexing as I write, I hope this will work. I heard of Alpha two being release but I still have Alpha one.
L4 should auto-update, if not, you can manually upgrade using this link

Mine crashes before installing, gets stuck in "singning in"...
I never had any install problems. I know you already put up some logs, so I am sure that will help.
