How Can I check the status of downloads and indexing?

I downloaded the Alpha 2 yesterday. It seemed to install fine (overnight) and I was able to get my blank Home Page and open a few resources. I can tell from my menu bar that things are being processed, but cannot find any indicator of the progress. My machine is working hard (fans running and CPU usage is up) but would like to know where I am in the process.

I am so excited that this MAC version already looks like Logos 4! Yay!

Joe - I have a Logos icon in the menu bar. It tells me I can pause indexing for 4 hours, cancel downloading or cancel indexing, but I don't have a status icon. When I look at my Activity Monitor (Utilities Folder) it shows the Logos4Indexer pegging out my CPU, but I don't have any status icons that show me how far along the indexing is. It has been running for over 24 hours. I know it takes a long time, just wanted to know how far along it was.

OK Joe - I am dumb! I just realized if I hover over the Logos icon I get status info. The problem is that it has said downloading 0% of 58MB for almost 20 minutes now. Does not seem to be progressing.

if you hover the mouse pointer over the blue icon a status will pop-up with your progress. it may show a long time, but it will get there :-)

I lost my status icon in the menu bar and all the books have not downloaded. I only have 877 and I should have 1200+. Also, I don't think I received the latest software update because the auto installer kept failing and giving me a generic error message. I don't know how to resolve these issues. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should be able to download the Alpha 2 Dmg from the Logos support page. You should be able to install Alpha 2 over the Alpha 1 Installation.

I installed the main library from the disk and need only to install subsequent purchases. It has been downloading for several hours and tells me I have downloaded 1331% of 2.75 GB. Only Logos could do math like that.

I love this application but the money I spent, it should have better support. It's ridiculous that when I call support I'm told (while I'm waiting) to check the forums to see if someone figured it out already.

If so I would quit the application and download the latest version from http://www.logos.com/4ways

This will ensure that you are not struggling with an old copy of the program.

Reissues of the program are still quite frequent with improvements being made all the time.

Once you have done this your downloads and indexing should resume.

I was incorrect. According to my notes, the tech support guy had me download Logos (the latest version from the website). We then installed Platinum directly from the disk (which only took about 40 mins). When Logos opened, I went to the command line and typed "Update Resources" which began a 2.75 GB download which I cancelled this morning after it said 5080% had downloaded). I did a force quit and can elled the download and when I reopened it said I had only 970MB left to download. I cancelled it again and now it says it is indexing. My Word Biblical Commentary is in there and no more talk of downloads so I'm guessing that it only downloads a portion before freezing and does not download completely, thus the ned to restart, etc.

It appears to be working fine now. 2% indexing complete.
