I'd like to have more control over Logos downloads…

Namely, when. I just opened Logos to look up something real quick but am forced to wait because Logos is carrying out some business I did not even initiate. As I write this, I find Logos isn't working on THIS previously stable installation. I'm currently having trouble with my recently initiated desktop installation. Something SERIOUSLY messed up is happening in these parts, let me tell you. I've noted my desktop issues on the Logos 4 Windows forum.

For downloads, Logos 4 already has program settings for Automatically Download updates: can turn off or specify when to download.

I agree that it would be good to have a way of controlling the downloads. E.G. on my main PC I might want everything. On my laptop, I may want to be specific about what I want downloaded - at the moment I can only switch on or off. If I switch downloads on I get everything. I think it would be a good enhancement to have a checkbox for each resource to say whether it should be downloaded. This could be by device type - pc / iOS / Android etc. Ideally, it would allow separate profiles so that desktop and notebook could be different.

The main reason I need this is that I no longer have enough memory on my portable device for my whole library. Therefore, I've not been able to update it for some months and can't use some resources I recently purchsed on that device. Selective downloads would solve my problem.

I'm assuming your portable device runs the PC/Mac Logos4 application. With Android you only download what you need or can fit on the device, else uninstall some books, or get a bigger SD card!

Not necessarily. If you out of memory (meaning Hard drive space?) then any download will require extra space for the download + indexing as it is only returned when processing has completed. One way to gain extra space is to Hide resources you don't need as they are deleted from the Resource folder, but make sure you really don't need them as the process will be repeated via Logos sync on your other installations.
