Bug: Newly created Annotation & Opening a Note

1. A newly created Annotation is not visible in the resource (whether by reference or selection) whereas a new Highlight is visible and ticks the Note file in the Visual filters menu.

2. When opening a resource from a Note file the annotation/highlight is not visible until the Note file is ticked in the Visual filters menu.

EDIT: This also occurs in v4.3, which was also not expected.

I can confirm that the Notes document visual filter is toggled on as expected when applying Highlighting in 4.5 Beta 1, but is not toggled on when Notes are added to a Selection or Reference. This has been reported.

It's possible that with the change in 4.5 the behavior in previous versions should be reconsidered. I'll include the suggestion in the previously-mentioned report.

With multiple notes files per Resource the user would have to guess which Note file should be toggled.
