Is there a way in L4 to change the background color from the default white? I use either a gray or tan background to ease eyestrain when doing prolonged reading. L3 picked up the Windows setting so I was wondering if L4 could be customized. Thank you.

You can do that.  Just go into program settings and choose your poison.  I have mine set to paper which isn't that much different from white but which takes a bit of the edge off the glare.

Did you know you can select a gray background (as well as several others) via the Tools > Program Settings > Accessability ?

Knew this - but the colors are strange and have not similarity to those available to most Windows programs.  In addition they are global - every window looks the same.  We are looking for the ability to add individual colors to individual panes.  Even if we only had the LOGOS colors, it would be an improvement to the current situation, though not ideal.

You mean that you want the Christmas tree look?  You could try L3 again, but that's only the links.

Actually, Zondervan did this right with their Pradis product - alas it is no longer available.  Though there were many gains when Zondervan allowed LOGOS to publish their materials, this was one loss.

I second this.  It would be nice if we could customize both the background color and font color for each individual window.

This may be a dead issue, but since I am new to Logos I thought I might chime in.

In the kindle app for tablets, or even for PC, there is the option to change the background to a nice sepia-tone cream color with dark brown letters.  This makes it much easier to simply sit and read.  The grey background available is ok for study, but it is not very pleasurable to sit and read.  I think it would be nice to be able to have the option to function more like an e-reader when one desires.

If you go to "Tools | Program Settings" you will fing "Resource Panel Background" under "Accessibility" which allows a choice of backgrounds.

Yet another thing lacking on Mac that I wasn't aware of...

Current stable and beta Logos 4 Mac releases have Resource Panel Background with 6 background choices.  Due to technical issues, Logos 4 Mac is missing Program Scaling.

    Welcome [:D]

Windows 7 Control Panel for Personalization has option to specify Windows background color, which can be used in Logos 4 so sepia-tone cream color background can easily be done.  For brown letters, could create a highlighting style, then select and highlight a lot for reading.

This only allows for a few choices.  I think the idea is to have a whole pallet of colors to choose from.  This would be a nice addition.  It is possible to choose windows default and change the global background color but I would like to just change L4s colors and not the whole OS.  An option to change font colors would also be nice.

I'm satisfied with changing the background to "paper" which takes the glare off the screen.  I don't care for a Christmas tree effect.

I love black screen white letters.. but can one change the background and letters of the menu that pops up when one right clicks on a word?? then I have to go into tilt the head at the right angle mode...

Also searches on bible texts and words.. has a white background still also.

Concur Logos 4.5 Beta 13 has white background in various places, which are not affected by Windows 7 color personalization choices; appears only resource background color can be changed to black.
