Set Up Split Screen on Ipad 2
Do anyone have any information about setting up a split screen on Ipad 2? I had this working before the OS update, but now can't figure it out. I have an english bible on one side and want the BHS (Hebrew) or Greek on the other.

Hi Mark,
I'm assuming that since you said yo u had it working before the update that you know how to do it. I have updated my software and have just split my screen and linked the NASU on one side and the BHS text on the other. I don't appear to be having a problem, so maybe you need an uninstall.
Let me tell you what I have done just in case. You should see a little gray half-circle at the bottom right side of your scree. Press, hold, and drag that circle to split your screen. If you iPad is vertical you can split your screen up/down, if horizontal, you can slip side to side. NOTE: this feature moves pretty slow sometimes so you will want to be patient with it.
Once your screens are split you can tap and highlight one side. Select Library and choose the book you want on that side. Tap the other side and do the same. You may also want to link the two books. Tap the Aa at the top of one of the pages and make sure that Link Text is turned on.
I hope this helps.

I answered my own question:
- open 'library'
- choose the book you want to open
- open it
- it should open in the 'read' view
- If the split window is not open, slide it open from the bottom right corner.
- You can also sync the two windows so when you moved to parallel texts, both windows track the same verses.

Thanks - the problem was I couldn't figure out (remember) how to get the text I wanted in the split window to open. Got it now. Thanks for your help!

Hi Rev. Mark,
I came across the iPad app called Desktop. If you go to you app store it costs only $.99 and it very nicely splits the screen for you...search the web on one side...verticle or horizontal...and use your writer app on the other side...or whatever else you wish to do. Hope this helps. Now I'm the hunt for a voice recognition app so I can just speak and it types for me. All the best and Happy Easter. Edison

Dragon Dictation is a free app that does this.

Ryan, thank you for this explanation of how to open the split screen. I have been searching for over an hour how to accomplish this simple task.

Whenever you are connected to the Internet, your iPad has voice typing capabilities. Look for the microphone at the bottom of the key board. It makes itself available for a number of apps, but not all.

When you have the sidebar menu open, you can click on the panel you want to change.
