Win7 64bit and LDLS3 Issue

Installed Win 7 64bit on my laptop. Reinstalled LDLS3. I know can only start up 3 one time. After closing, when I try to restart, it hangs. I have checked taskmanager and found that Libsys.exe *32 stays in memory. I have to "end process" from taskmanager before starting LDLS3 up again. Is there a known issue? should I uninstall and reinstall? Any ideas?

I wouldn't call it a known issue. That from the perspective that I ran L3 for months on Win7 64 bit without a problem.

You might want to call tech support, but right now you're going to get high call volume due to the L4 release.

LibSys.exe not exiting is a known issue on Windows 7; it will be fixed in 3.0g.

We haven't known it to cause LDLS.exe to hang; that sounds like a different bug.

it appears that if libsys.exe is left in memory.. . when I try to start up LDLS again it hangs. Guessing it gets confused at having 2 libsys.exe's in memory. If I "end process" libsys.exe and then start up LDLS... no issue.

Any ETA for 3.0g? Know ya'll are busy!!!

3.0g will make LibSys.exe shut down properly, so yes, it sounds like the hang problem will also be fixed when that's fixed.

We hope that 3.0g should be ready within a week. (We had some hardware failures that impeded progress, unfortunately.)
