I have just reinstalled Logos 4 onto a Win 7 PC

I have just reinstalled Logos 4 onto a Win 7 PC. I have partitioned the HD C: for System and Apps and for Data.

I have installed Logos 4 on my new PC and have downloaded My Resources.

My Questions are

Have my preferneces Fonts, Favourite Bible etc been downloaded too or are these stored on my old PC and need bringing over - if so where are they on my old PC.
If I had non-Logos resources how do I get these onto my new PC.
If I have included MS Word dics (eg sermions) in my resources - how do I get these onto my new Logos installation.
What do I need to store on my D Drive (that isn't stored at Logos) so that it will be included in my data backup and how do I tell Logos that I want to store this dat on my D drive

Your prioritized bibles will sync. I think font preferences will too.

What do you mean "non-Logos resources"? Do you mean ones you purchased somewhere else? Most resources, including ones purchased elsewhere, will sync and download automatically.

Do you mean that you have Personal Books using Logos 4 PBB? There are ways to move the compiled books over, but I prefer to compile them on each machine. One way to do this is to use dropbox. See THIS THREAD.

Allister,

1. Everything should sych up with the Logos servers and be downloaded. One of the nice things about Logos 4 over previous versions.

2. As long as you had them in Logos 4 they should be downloaded automatically. If not the best thing to do is call Logos Customer Service to activate them in Logos 4. They will be downloaded after being activated.

3. Logos 4 does not have a way to access MS Word files directly. You'll probably want to store them somewhere in your My Documents folder.

4. Unfortunately Logos wants to put everything on one drive. There is no setting in Logos to change this. There is a way around this limitation you can read about here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/24948.aspx

You could have installed Logos on drive by selecting Custom during installation. However, you can still do that if you use Quick Method 2. (the alternative suggested by Mark is quicker, though!).

In theory, none. However, individual users have been very glad they had their own backup to recover notes files accidentally deleted, to decrease the install time (by eliminating some of the download time) after a hard drive crash ....

I backup the \Logos4 folder as shown in Quick Method 2; permits quick recovery from any disaster. If you want, backup \Documents more frequently as that is your personal study data as some of that can sometimes be difficult to recover from Logos.

If I put my own notes in my Logos resources ege my own thoughtsa about a bible verse or a paragraph in a commenatry - are these saved at Logos or do I need to back these up myself if so how
