Please, Please, Please...Put spell check in the program.

Logos is a wonderful (and overwhelming at times) program that gives us all a "research assistant" at our fingertips.

However, please consider a few less resource products this year AND putting those resources into providing a spell checker for the notes & clips portion of Logos. While I could write them in Word, spell check them and then copy them to notes...well, not the most efficient way for me to work.

Since I am not a master at spelling (even though I do okay)...I would like my research assistant to be able to proof my work.

I have nothing but the greatest respect for this program. I have been with Logos since it came on a few black 3 1/2 floppies. But (I think) this feature is really a basic need. Maybe it could "take cuts" in the priority list...somewhere near the top. [:)]

Several others have suggested a spell checker as well. You can help set the priorities by voting at logos.uservoice.com.

Definitely not an efficient way to work. I am a terrible typist more than a weak speller. I have difficulty even seeing the little red lines under the suspect words. My vocabulary is generally more extensive than the standard spell check dictionaries. All that said, an internal spell checker would be more convenient.

I have one question. How would Logos handle alternate spellings? We have Archaeology vs Archeology, favor vs favour, and when we get to Bible names, there is no end to all the divergent spellings. Even Noah Webster butchered the King's English with that 1828 dictionary. How dare he "Americanize" the English language? (Should that not be "Americanise?" there goes that little red line again!)

Haven't you moved over to Mac? The Mac spell checker works in Logos as well.

(And the alternate spellings aren't a problem. The spell checker uses the same version of English that your System Preferences is set to.)
