Is this the compiler or is it MS Word which changes it? Word has a history of changing things to fit it's paradigm. You might check the settings in Word.
George, what settings would you have me check?
When I save the contents of the docx file, close it, and reopen it, it is unchanged.
When I save it as plain text and open it in Notepad, it is unchanged.
It is definitely the Personal Book Compiler bug, no question.
