Sahidic Coptic New Testament in English

This was released yesterday but it wont download properly - neither in the latest Logos 4 release or beta.

It 'downloads' and restarts Logos but the resource does not appear. If I then say 'update resources' then this cycle is repeated and still no resource...

Anyone else experiencing this?

It downloaded on the laptop yesterday no problem, but today when I open up Logos on the desktop, it doesn't show. When I go to my New Testament page shot which has it, the tab says "you do not have a license to view this resource', so this must be a problem a lot of users are having.

Glad it's not just me :-)

At least the Logos 3 download was OK and it shows up on biblia.com...

Let's hope it is sorted out - I will also email tech support/customer services to make sure they are aware of the problem...

Spoke too soon - tried the download again and it worked :-)

Mine has shown too - and I just noticed at least three other threads with titles like 'missing resources' 'can't install new resource' and 'can't get logos to install new resources'.

I work mainly in L3 and never got the emails. But I noticed on my account, the 'orders' moved to 'shipped' so I downloaded using the fulfilled order page.

Then on my L4 like everyone else, 'something' downloaded but nothing showed (even older resources I had bought but not yet downloaded).

I'm guess they again forgot to set one of the switches yesterday.

This is one MORE reason I like Logos products ... everything's really intuitive (as a requirement)!

Mine downloaded last night without trouble. Remember

Our orders are processed over a period of time which may be a day later if your charge card has changed since the original order
A downloaded resource does not directly load into L4 - it requires a restart
After the restart in L4 indexing is required before the book becomes visible.
I was reminded of this last night when my resource was missing (I'd forgotten to restart [:$]

Probably 'Ship Date' means:

1. Whenever we can remember to send you an email (if you're on L3)

2. Whenever you can get Logos4 to download (restart, try again, maybe once again or if these don't work, try again)

3. Our servers are awake and feel truly energized to deliver what just hit your credit card for no small amount

but

4. Not to worry ... we'll eventually get around to it

Probably 'Ship Date' means:

I have had only 1 download delayed and that was the result of a card on record at the time of ordering having expired by the time of delivery. Sorry your experience has made you more cynical than my experience has made me. Admitted many of my download appear late in the evening - which works just fine with my schedule.

True ... but let's not forget the repeated ship resets on this (and most of my orders). I get the feeling product development hits quality control at the last minute (that'd be my guess).

But the Logos.com page WAS re-set at 2pm.

And I've seen this before; it looks like their processes are not directly connected and they're not using checklists.

And one doesn't need to be cynical to observe the obvious. One can even be smiling too.

Now in contrast, my VW dealership screwed up on a parts order and offered to cover the costs. I don't expect that from Logos (though the Logos orders are considerably more expensive).

No ... I mainly assume there's a process there that kind of wiggles the product out, catch as catch can. And the final 'ship' people are struggling.

The problem I was having was that indexing did NOT begin after the download and Logos restarting... On both my computers... Then, the next day, on starting Logos - the indexing started and the book appeared before the indexing had finished (which is normal in my experience)...

Agree ... I can't remember a book I got that I couldn't begin reading upon download and before indexing.

For a long time I thought you had to restart Logos4 since its little message said so (placed 'recommended' in parens). But lately I notice even that is not needed (though of course 'recommended'). I restart anyway to turn off the internet connects for a few more weeks.

The thread subject here clearly suggests some type of enabling flag on the local computer that didn't get set. In my case several weeks of books came down but none showed, indexed, etc. restarts, or not.
