Can't get Logos v4.3 SR6 add new resources

Just purchased 2 resources from Vyrso.com. Can see it on Logos for iPad and web version. After restarting L4 a few times and typing "update now", it reports "no update available". That is, L4 for Windows can't see the 2 recently purchased resources.

I had a stranger problem on my 2nd Windows machine. This problem occurred first. It downloaded quite a bunch of files (857 perseus files + other misc files). On restarting L4 it updated to v4.3 SR6 and add some resources but it left 867 resources in "\Resource Manager\Downloaded" folder. Despite restarting L4 a couple of times, each time with "update now" it refuses to add any of the 867 resources.

Now after purchasing 2 resources, L4 refused to add them even to the 1st machine. Always says "no updates available." But can view them on iPad.

I suspect it has to do with SR6 as I never encounter such problem before.

Sounds like same issue I'm having on mac beta (see http://community.logos.com/forums/t/40195.aspx); if this issue is cross platform and affecting both beta and stable channels I wonder if it is a server side (licensing server?) problem?

For first time ever I too had download/licese recognition problems.

Seemed tpo be happening to the Libronix resources also?

ANyone know if something is happening in Bellingham or with the Amazon servors?

Did those resources get into Library? If not restart L4 and try the command update resources.

If that fails (and the resources are still in \Downloaded\) try the command scan \Resource Manager\Downloaded\ and restart L4 ==> provide the full path for \Downloaded.

I bought two new books a couple of days ago and my system didn't automatically download them. I tried 'Update resources' in the command bar, plus several restarts, all to no avail. A 7.4MB download took place, but nothing in the Library to show for it. Clicking the 'Last updated' column header showed the last updates as two weeks earlier.

I emailed the Logos folk in the USA (I'm in the UK) and got a 'That's strange; I'll get the tech people to look into it' reply. Then, next time I started Logos, the two books appeared. Whether that was the result of a program tweak at their end I'll never know.

Dave, in the last two days I too have done all of this to no avail. Tech one hopes it is because I'm on beta and suggests as a last resort that I re-install. I've also done the SCAN libronix command.

Aftter at least 2 -3 days I am still missing 12 books of a recent collection purchase. [I can see them iin Libronix and Tech one confirms I have the licenses]

I've never run into this before.

Also wonder if it has anything to do with heavy Perseus downloads?

the scan command is a last resort BUT if something was downloaded then there had to be a licence for it and the L4 scan should pick them up
if you have the licences in L4 but still haven't received a download I doubt that it is because you are on the Beta

Have you run scan on the Libronix resource folder? They may be the wrong type (lbxlls) but should eventually be replaced by their logos4 type.

If that yielded no result did you remember to restart L4 after issuing the command? Otherwise, I would doubt that the licence has been sync'd to L4!

Yes I did re-start.

How would I deal with the possible license problem?

As we speak I am pre-paring to re-install based on eithor of your WIKI suggestions (Method 1 or 2).

I've a new hard drive with room to run the beta as a "restricted-user" while I put the "stable" version onto "my" user .

Not sure what else to do.

As we speak I am pre-paring to re-install based on eithor of your WIKI suggestions (Method 1 or 2).

The licence problem should be fixed with Customer Service!

However, if you have room for a stable version then install using Method 3 as this may show a licence problem with the beta (Method 1 or 2 will cause problems because of the different database versions/structures between beta and stable).

Ah, thats why I ran into problems using #2. OK so we will try 3.
