how to get logos 4 to recognise paragraph numbers in personal books?
If I have a book called AL and I want to go straight to par 8, I want to type AL 8. how do I get logos to find it?
I have already auto numbered the paragraphs in word.
Thanks
I believe you would need to add milestones/headwords to eack section you wish to jump to...
eg: {{@Headword:AL 8}}
For each paragraph to have its own position in the document a Word Heading style has to be applied e.g. Heading 5
Whilst auto-numbering may be retained if you experiment, the heading style will wipe it initially and the whole paragraph will become part of the TOC - not desirable with long paras, so they need a heading with text following in Normal style.
3. [[@Headword 3:AL 3]] ===> Heading 5
Normal style text of paragraph 3 ...
4. [[@Headword 3:AL 4]] ===> Heading 5
Normal style text of paragraph 4 ...
I have managed to get the search to work, But the heardword works intermittently and I am not sure why?
I have a attached a copy of the test file I have been working with.
If I can get this working properly I will do the much larger books I use.
So if somebody can take a look at this I would be grateful.

Try what I suggested. Check your heading style is consistent with standard Word Headings. Clear all formatting first then re-apply the heading and normal styles.
Just to clarify:
[[@Headword ...]] in Normal style associates with the previous heading (Word Heading style); in Heading style it associates with that heading.
So this will NOT work:
[[@Headword:OE02]] ==> Normal style
OE2. The Holy Catholic Church, which is the
With your Heading style, this might work:-
[[@Headword:OE02]] OE2. The Holy Catholic Church, which is the ==> Heading style ==> Normal style
Standard Word Heading style doesn't allow Normal style text on the same line! So either of these will work:
[[@Headword:OE02]] OE2. ==> Heading styleThe Holy Catholic Church, which is the ==> Normal style
OE2. ==> Heading style[[@Headword:OE02]] The Holy Catholic Church, which is the ==> Normal style

Thank you for your help David, Greatly Appreciated.
This is how I did it in the end.
[[@Headword:OE3]] OE3. (Heading 9)
These individual Churches, whether of the East or the West, although they differ somewhat among themselves in rite (to use the current phrase), that is, in liturgy, ecclesiastical discipline, and spiritual heritage, are, nevertheless, each as much as the others, entrusted to the (normal text)
