Will new books replaqce old ones?

I am looking at buying the NAS Electronic Bible Library so I am checking my library to see if I have the books already. I own some eBible collections. I notice I have quite a a number of books list\ed in the NAS collection already due to the ebible series I am sure ..

However they have different covers and copyright dates. I just want the Amp bible to be honest but any way if I buy will it update the resources with the new version or will I end up with 2 of the same book?

for example: Matthew Henry's Commentary on the whole bible complete and unabridged volume 1 (1991-1994)

Nas has Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on the whole bible ( might not be the same book) (1997)

Hi Randall,

They are not the same book. The NAS is an abridged version. You can hid the one you do not use. Instructions are here:

Older books don't overwrite newer ones. However, sometimes we may end up with two copies of the same book, if they have different resource signatures (an internal identifier).

For books that are new to you in the collection, once you register your license for them, if a new version of the resource exists it will be downloaded as soon as Logos' servers notice the license and the update.

As far as your example goes, those are two different resources and you could have both on your system simultaneously (I do, though I hid the Concise version, since I only needed one and preferred the unabridged).

Did you close & restart Logos after hiding the books? This is required.

yes and they are not listed in the library but still shows in the window or box under layout button. above the homepage. Then when I click on the book it opens up and givbes m e an option to unhide it.

Randall - Thanks for the screen shot. The box (feature) you are referring to is called the "library slide show." You can hide that if you want to through the customize menu (lower left hand corner.) It is curious that hidden books are still showing up there.

Here's a guess:

The Home Page is refreshed once a day. You can force a refresh by pressing F5. My guess is that this will deal with the hidden book issue as well (though, it's never come up before, so let's test it!).

seems like I broke Logos4 lol the book I brought that was wrong was fix but due to refund they locked the book but, website says I still own it so I can't re buy for time being. Then this lol

alas it will stay grayed for three quarters of half of forever but you can still buy it if you want, just click on it and it will add the prouct to the cart.

click on it nothing shows in cart. says item as been removed from cart because you already own it. CS is working on a solution and said will email me when they fix ir. I bet it is waiting for the refund to be complete.

This book is giving me a bad taste for Logos. I can't understand why they just can't go into my account and clear the own or don't own book allowing me to buy it again. They said this has never happen before so I am sol until someone figures out how to clear that books from my data. The refund is complete.

This incident is rather unusual and annoying, but don't let it sour your opinion of the company.

I can't understand why they just can't go into my account and clear the own or don't own book allowing me to buy it again.

Logos is closed on the weekend. Someone will probably fix it tomorrow.

I brought the NAS library today. Thanks for finding it for me. I may not need or wanted all the books however Ampifiled bible is $40 so it like I got that for $30 instead and the other books for free.
