It's here everybody! At least on my ipod touch, both NIV & NIV 1984. Can we have the Anglicised edition please that would be the cherry on the cake! WHOO HOO!
THANKS LOGOS!
Yay!!! I just downloaded it! I am so excited! Now for sure Logos will be my main app once notes & highlights come!
Perhaps, I'm asking too much, but after all the struggle that we've had trying to get the NIV on the mobile Logos App - What happened? How did it come about?
Great news whatever! Thanks again Logos!
Agreed, this is really good news.
Logos, thanks for being persistent on this one.
For the record, it's available on the Android platform as well, which was to be expected
Graham
Works on the iPad! I'm a little shocked!
What happened? How did it come about?
Negotiation takes time. An agreement was reached.

Negotiation takes time.
Now there's an understatement. ;-)
Are you still negotiating the Anglicised NIV?
This is truly a historic day that I thought we were never going to see! Thanks Logos for working on this to fruition!
Peter
Both the 1984 and 2011 NIV versions are available. This is shocking.
The rights for the Anglicised NIV are held by a different publisher. We are in separate negotiations with them.
That's great news! Keep up the good work!
Wonderful! But how in the world did this happen without me knowing about it? [;)]
Obviously, we should thank Logos for their long efforts to make this happen for us. We should also thank the copyright owner.
I do wonder if Logos had to pay extra for this. If so, it is a tremendous gift to their customers.
Thanks Logos!
I wondered this also. Then I thought about all our complaining.
Then I thought about all our complaining
Hey - even after you are done begging your dad for $20, you should thank him when he gives it to you. [;)]
What about NIrV? Any chance of that being made available? Use it for children's ministry and would like to have it also on the go.
NIrV and TNIV will be available shortly.
Thanks for the quick feedback. Glad it was what i was looking for...
Edit note:
And appreciate having niv84 & 2011 also.
Just adding my voice to the thank yous and words of appreciation. Thank you for the hard work and that it didn't cost anything extra!
Well done!
Blessings!
Thanks for working so hard on the NIV + NIV84, glad to hear that the NIrV and TNIV are coming too!
Yes, this is very good news! I just got my iPhone 4s two weeks ago and I was very disappointed that for all the $$ we paid for our Logos packages, that the NIV was not available on the mobile version. I thought everything we bought was available for the logos platform, whether it was computer, iPhone, or iPad.
I was just coming online to see if anything had changed, or to leave some encouragement for logos to explore that more. I'd even downloaded another Bible app and used it in a hospital visit last week. So now, it's KUDOS to Logos - THANKS!!!!! Now I can get rid of the other and use my iPhone Logos software!
Thanks so much!
I thought everything we bought was available for the logos platform, whether it was computer, iPhone, or iPad.
Just in case you haven't learned more about this yet... The philosophy of Logos is buy it once, use it anywhere. Whenever possible, this is the case. However, not all publishers agree. Logos works hard to allow us the ability to view our resources on our mobile devices, with no additional fees to the users.
This makes me smile[:D][:D][:D]
Thanks Logos
PRAISE THE LORD!

Smile for Jesus
Words cannot describe how happy I am about this! Maybe a blog post would be in order because I only came across this by chance. Share the good news, share the good news! [;)]
I purchased the Zondervan Encyclopedia of the Bible the other night and, to my surprise, it is available on my iPad also. I am glad Zondervan is working with Logos on allowing their resources to be available in mobile formats.
Now if the same can be done for Kregel. Chafer's Systematic Theology is my top request for iOS availability. Logos also has Kregel titles by Lightner and Pentecost that I would gladly buy if only they were available on mobile devices.
That is great news to have the NIV84 on Android.
I just downloaded it!
However, I can't download the NIV84 (non-Anglicised version) in Ireland. Is the download restricted to North America? If so, will the Anglicised version be able to be downloaded here?
Does this mean that we will stop complaining about the cost of Logos resources verses a competitors? Think about the amount of money committed in terms of human hours, to negotiate a deal for mobile devices, and possibly additional royalties that may have had to be paid.
Did not know it was unavailable for mobile devices, I don't have one. Just Biblia.com
But, thanks Logos for those who needed it on mobile devices. (The future of computing)
Hi John
I have downloaded this to my iPad in the UK so its not just restricted to North America.
Can you see the resource in your iPad library and are just unable to download it or can you not see it at all?
Is it available in your desktop Logos library?
Hi Graham, thanks for confirming that. I'm using the Android app, and I have it in my desktop library. I can use it online on the Android, but not download it. As I'm sometimes outside of mobile data coverage, I'd like to have it as a download, if possible.
Hold on, as I'm writing I tried it once more. The cover image is now the blue cover (instead of the grey generic book cover that showed up under the NIV84 earlier), and it offers me the option to download it. It's funny how it wasn't available for downloading earlier this morning, even though I could read and navigate within it. That's great.
I'll be able to use if offline now, although I'm careful where and when I read the Bible on the Android, as on one occasion I've been mistaken for being disinterested in a service - having being thought to be 'texting' on the phone instead of reading the Bible passage and following references!

Hehe - I know what you mean. I have reverted to taking my hard copy Bible to church so as not to cause any offence. My Logos library is still in my pocket though if needed.
Me too. It depends where I am, though, not only whether I take a hard copy, but what version I take too, especially if I'm reading/preaching (but I'd always use a hard copy in that case).
Another advantage of hard copy Bibles is that they don't suffer from batteries running out at the wrong time!
The NIV Anglicised Version is now available on iOS. Many thanks Logos - and Bob for prompt updates while Logos worked on getting this resource on mobile apps. [Y]
WOW does this mean that the updated NIV 2011 Anglicised will soon be available on Logos?
I have the Anglicised NIV 1984 which I purchased on a cdrom in the UK, Great I can now use on my Android.
This means the British publisher (Hodder & Stoughton) must have been in talks with Logos.
The logical next step is 2011 NIV Anglicised edition available on logos...whether it be a direct download or a cdrom purchase in the UK.
For the record I have
NIV 1984 (USA)
NIV 2011 (USA)
TNIV (USA)
NIrV (USA)
NIV 1984 (ANGLICISED)
I got the USA version when I upgraded to Logos 4 (Think the licensing agreement must have change, because previously I was not allowed to purchase)

This is great news! Thanks Logos for not giving up on this or letting it slip through the net, simply because the standard NIV is available. . It really is MUCH appreciated!
Naturally, I would like to see an Anglicised NIV2011, and maybe one day that will be a possibility, but in the light of this news I can wait.
The NIV Anglicised Version is now available on iOS. Many thanks Logos - and Bob for prompt updates while Logos worked on getting this resource on mobile apps.
Brilliant!! Just downloaded it. [:D] Now I can read the NIV (Nearly Infallible Version) in God's own language!!! [;)]
Every blessing
Alan
I can't see this nor find any links to it on the Logos product pages.
Can someone point me to them please?
Thanks, Graham
Is this because they have been pulled like the US Versions?

Maybe [:(]
Sounds like a reasonable explanation
Thanks Alabama
If your search very hard you might be able to find a seller who still have it on store room shelf.
Here are the details taken from Amazon uk.
Product Dimensions: 14.3 x 12.6 x 1 cm

Thanks PA
Appreciated, Graham
I think that your only hope of getting NIV Anglicised in Logos format would be to buy an older version CD which has it and then install it on Libronix and synchronise your licences which will update your Logos 4/5 licences and then download the L4/5 version to your L 4/5 installation. I have had my copy since Logos 1.6 back in 1993 and Logos has made it available to my installation through Logos 2, Libronix, Logos for Mac 1, Logos 4 Mac, Logos 5 and now Logos iOS.
It's one of the things that I really like about Logos. I have my resource no matter how the software is developed. [:D]
Thanks Alan
I nearly bought a copy some years ago but decided against it[:(]
